Abstract

Growth on demand and economics in some industrial segments like transport, mining, food and agriculture industries witnesses high level of automation and mechanized equipment’s. To meet the expectations of automation, zero break down and fill for life, lubricants formulators have to look for alternate additives/products to meet the ever growing performance requirements. Additives used conventionally for improving the anti-wear and extreme pressure (EP) properties are sulphur-phosphorous, molybdenum disulphide in grease formulations are reactive chemicals, have some limitations in segments like food and agriculture.
