Abstract

Laser scanning can be used to acquire measurement data for Building Information Modeling (BIM). Terrestrial Laser Scanning (TLS) technology is ideal for this type of work. Having a point cloud of the measured object, dimension and model it in accordance with reality are possible. TLS gives the opportunity to obtain a big amount of observations, which on the one hand allows for an accurate depiction of the object, but on the other hand is troublesome during BIM developing.
