Abstract

The article discusses Even and Koryak household crafts, sharply different in techniques and technologies of leather and fur processing as well as in the design and decorations of products made from them, The author substantiates the genesis of differences, shows the historical, ecological, and social origins of this home craft features. The constructive and functional variability of the furrier inventory is traced in the ethnic aspect. The practical determination of the decorative element topography is revealed; the successive variability of clothes decorating is demonstrated. Metal on the Even ethnic costume has been shown to be a marker of the family's property and social status.
