PROBLEM OF CIVIL PROTECTION OF AFGHAN VETERANS

Abstract

Public control is one of the types of social control over the activities of public administration. It is carried out by the most effective associations of citizens who have common interests and designed to prevent the abuse of power. One of the most powerful and large public associations in Ukraine is the All-Ukrainian Union of Afghan Veterans, which unites a certain social layer - participants in Afghanistan military operations, disabled people of war. Very often the mentioned category of citizens faces a misunderstanding of officials. The purpose of the article is to consider the issue of civil protection of combatants in Afghanistan, which has become the reason for this year's protest action in Kyiv. It was concluded that a public association of veterans of Afghanistan is an effective form of public control and civil servants must immediately find a solution to the conflict that has occurred between government officials and veterans.
