This paper analyses and compares the performance of the link for different amplifiers in order to achieve reliable performance of link in heavy fog conditions. Abstract

Free Space Optics (FSO) has gained significant importance for high bandwidth transmission capabilities in recent years. However, various factors contribute to considerable link performance degradation. In this paper, the most crucial weather phenomenon, i.e., fog, is taken into account as it severely affects the performance of the link.
