Abstract
The paper presents authors’concerns regarding the influence of phase-distribution for two different types of double three-phase often encountered configurations: a 110 kV, 640 A linear arrangement and respectively 400 kV, 1200 A, triangle arrangement, from the perspective of generated magnetic field. The two 3-phase transmission power lines have been considered as perfectly balanced. The compensation effect has also been studied when the currents in the two circuits flow in opposite direction, relying on different conclusions on the "transposed phasing" opportunity. The combined effect of phase transposition and soil conductivity has also been studied. There were used for simulating the 2D lateral profiles of the magnetic field transverse distribution, delivered by FEMM 4.2 and AMFACDC programs, the comparisons providing a good concordance.
