Abstract

We investigate second harmonic generation (SHG) in a high Q factor (170,000) SiC photonic crystal nanocavity, where the Q factor is ten times larger than the previous SiC nanocavity. We obtain an improved normalized SHG conversion efficiency of 1400 %/W.
