The effects of minimum variance distortionless response beamformer, minimum power distortionless response beamformer, linear constrained minimum variance beamformer and linear constrained minimum power beamformer for density-tapered thinned linear array are compared. Abstract
In this paper, the compatibility of density-tapered thinned array with classical adaptive beamforming algorithms is studied. The effects of minimum variance distortionless response beamformer, minimum power distortionless response beamformer, linear constrained minimum variance beamformer and linear constrained minimum power beamformer for density-tapered thinned linear array are compared. The simulation results show that these beamforming algorithms can achieve satisfactory results for density tapered thinned linear array, which lays a foundation for the practical application of density-tapered thinned array.
