Abstract

In the very center of Gomel', at the intersection between Sovetskaia Street and Zharkovskaia Street, stands a small, two-storey house.1 They say it was built during the time of Rumiantsev;2 but it was so solidly built that it has survived to our day, even surviving the troubled times of war.
