Abstract
Syngnathia refers to congenital adhesion of maxilla and mandible by fibrous or bony tissues with only 55 reported cases in literature. Occurrence of syngnathia with non-formation of temporo-mandibular joint (TMJ) in the absence of any other syndrome or congenital abnormality is a very rare presentation. An 11-year-old boy was presented with complaints of extreme degree limitation of mouth opening with left sided bony syngnathia, non-formation of left TMJ, and zygomatic arch disruption. The rarity of condition with non-definitive management options suggests a poor prognosis.
