Abstract

Near-Field Testing (NFT) methods have assumed an increasingly important role in modern antenna metrology (see the June 1988 special issue of the. IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation). Although theoretically and practically complex, near-field measurements can provide unexcelled accuracy, and they can be performed in the compact, controlled environment of a standards laboratory.
