Training Chinese Students' External Communicative Competence with New 5W+1 Training Model

Abstract

After the Covid-19 pandemic, the world is eager to have more communication to recover and develop its economy. China also tries to be more open to the world through international communication. In order to achieve this purpose, the Chinese people have been telling the world its own stories and its typical expression and keywords, hoping that the world can better accept the real image of China. In this case, it seems important to cultivate and train Chinese students' external communicative competence so that students can be better prepared for external communication after graduation. Therefore, based on Lasswell's 5W communication model and the author's previous research on 5W+1 translation model, this paper tries to develop further and create a new 5W+1 training model to cultivate Chinese students' external communication competence.
