Abstract

The present paper aimed to understand one of public policies adopted by the state of Mato Grosso, known as the Learning Cycle System, seeking to know its operation, embraced methodology about the students evaluation, the relation with the illiteracy and the system itself, with the goal of investigate its efficacy in the elementary education. This is because the main controversy about this new learning method is the fact of student’s failure doesn’t exist if he reaches an average stipulated by the educational institution.
