Abstract

The effects of multiple paths and channel capacity are concerned in the communication system. The SAS (smart antenna system) can solve these problems. The SAS can be separated by adaptive antenna array and MBA (multiple beams antenna array). In this paper, the MBA is discussed. There are different types of SAS that are developed in Taiwan for the applications of cellular phone system in GSM, WCDMA, and WLAN (wireless local access network).
