Singapore and China: Overstepping the 30-year Milestone of Diplomatic Relations

Abstract

The article discusses the stages of development of Singaporean-Chinese cooperation and the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries. The author pays attention to Singa-pore's reaction to the escalation of tensions between China and the United States, analyzes the consequences of this confrontation and the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic on the Singaporean economy and the general balance of power in the Southeast Asian region.
