Abstract

This paper describes the advance in the development and implementation of a new standard for measuring voltage, current and power under distorted conditions in the Laboratory of UTE (designed National Laboratory in Uruguay). It covers both sinusoidal and distorted waveforms up to the 50th harmonic. In particular, this paper shows computational algorithms and their implementation with high precision 8 ½ digit multimeters. Real waveforms generated by a calibrator, similar to waveforms found in power networks, were analyzed by the proposed system, discussing the measurement errors.
