The authors have discussed research issues such as strategy, legality and management, which are relevant to advancement of applications of e-business. These issues are becoming important in the face of spates of pure dot-com failures. The authors realize that e-business is multi-disciplinary and thus has far and wide research implications in its adoption. The authors are involved in various research activities. Two activities- investigations of business model for e-tailing and the customisation and value adding processes in user interface, are being undertaken and discussed in this paper. Abstract
