Abstract

Combining a sharp foreign eye and a real passion for Brazilian civilization and man, a plural professional performance and a rich experience that faces the dramatic realities of the twentieth century in Brazil and beyond, Lina Bo Bardi actively participates in the debate on the modernization of the country, conceiving a whole modern nation project. The trajectory of the architect thus acquires inevitable political dimension, which is here explored.
