Abstract

The author refers to the world scientists' warning to humanity which concerns caring for the environment. He considers how language has a significant bearing on our everyday living. His critique of the scientists is that by not bringing their scientific outlook to the use of language, it perpetuates, though unintentionally, the divisions that already exist in society.
