Abstract

This paper presents the control of a doubly fed induction machine (DFIM) via a matrix converter applied to the machine's rotor side. The experimental set-up shall be used to show its viability for wind energy applications. Stator Field Oriented control of the machine was implemented for active and reactive power control.
