Abstract

Training electrical maintenance employees to be qualified is vital to a safe and efficient work force, as well as to the reliability and integrity of electrical systems and equipment. This paper will address several key components needed in order to develop a comprehensive training program that will help to qualify maintenance employees. A thorough understanding of the requirements for a qualified person will be of great benefit in conducting the needs assessment as well as the job/task and hazard analysis and therefore benefit the development of the training program.
