Abstract

This paper describes the already completed and verified first stage of a work in progress that aims to port a proposed optimised framework for virtual machine placement on hosts in a given cloud computing datacentre. The previously implemented and simulated framework using Matlab is being transferred to a richer cloud computing simulation environment that is CloudSim.
