Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore how the artificial intelligence system of floor plan assist novice designer to improve problem-solving ability of interior floor plan. Through two experiments of drawing floor plan before and after, we used the method of document analysis to compare the differences of two drawings. Novices drew a floor plan of bedroom in first stage, and next, novices operated the artificial system of interior floor plan to construct their knowledge and learned various possible schemes in a short period of time. Finally, novices drew second floor plan of bedroom again. The result shows that the second floor plan to be improved significantly after novices used the intelligence system of floor plan.
