Abstract

High-sensitivity acoustic impedance sensing has been demonstrated for the first time by using radial acoustic modes induced forward Brillouin scattering in a highly nonlinear fiber. The measurement sensitivity has been improved to be 3.83MHz/[kg/(s • mm2)].
