Abstract

In this paper modified opportunistic routing (MORR) protocol is propose, which focuses on addressing routing issues for wireless sensor networks (WSNs) for prolonging network lifetime and load balancing by selecting forwarder nodes, which have maximum residual energy so that network lifetime is enhanced. Furthermore, throughout the selection of forwarder node, channel interference is also taken into account to offer consistent communication.
