Abstract
UHF non-cooperative radar has special advantages in anti-stealth and anti-radiation missiles. However, the target detection of low angle is heavily affected by multipath effect in UHF band, especially when radars work in non-cooperative mode. The multipath signal, reflected by the ground or sea surface, is highly correlated with the direct signal, and they always fall within the same beamwidth. Antenna pattern is usually be split by multipath interference in low angle target detection, which seriously impact the detection performance and even cause large blind area of UHF non-cooperative radar coverage. In this paper, we propose a target detection method with multi-station fusion for UHF non-cooperative radar in multipath. A detailed model of multipath propagation in target detection using non-cooperative radar is established, and the validity and veracity of the proposed method is verified with theoretical derivation and modeling simulation.
