COPING WITH SUCCESS

Abstract

As a result of the spectacular success of the Travcelcard and zonal fares, London Underground is having to cope with rapidly growing numbers of passengers--the very opposite of the problem which it has wrestled with for the past two decades. The author describes the measures being adopted to cope with this unfamiliar situation.
