Proposal of an industrial communication system based on ZigBee technology

Abstract

This paper describes the implementation of a wireless system for monitoring production processes in industrial plants. The mentioned system is based on ZigBee technology and consists of an XBee module, Arduino microcontroller, corresponding shield, and central PC. The system is designed in such a manner that it can be adapted for other purposes.
