The design of the SDI multiplexed digital audio data format analysis software

Abstract

In this paper, the SDI data stream format and the principle of the multiplexed digital audio are introduced, and the digital audio packet format and the AES/EBU digital audio format are analyzed in detail. Then, the SDI multiplexed digital audio data format analysis software is developed with C++ language. This software can achieve the function of de-multiplexing SD and HD SDI multiplexed digital audio separately, which includes analyzing the multiplexed format of audio data packet and audio control packet, extracting the numbers of audio packets, the samples of audio data, the amplitude of audio and the number of multiplexed channels in specified line. It is shown in experimental results that this software can accurately make the SDI audio data de-multiplexed according to users' needs, and the problems of the high costs and inconvenience of the de-multiplexing system based on the hardware are solved, which can be widely used in practical applications.
