Therefore, this research aims to explore the concepts of beauty in the minds of the Korean drama viewers. This study uses a qualitative method, with an audience reception approach. Data collection techniques are: in-depth interviews, field observations and literature studies. The result is that people choose to consume drama by considering the storyline, filling their free time, actors and cinematography. Most of the informants stated that their actors were beautiful and wanted to be like them. There are also people who are willing to save their money to buy makeup and clothes made in Korea so they can be like them. It can be said that they are in the category of dominant position and negotiate the position of hegemony.
