Abstract
The tendency of users who are always moving but still want to get bandwidth and high access speed access makes service providers should implement a good transfer system, so that users do not experience mobility disruption. This article analyses the inter-band handover process between LTE 1800 Mhz and LTE 900 Mhz. The system uses a layering method where the user equipment moves to the lower layer. The performance of the handover is determined by using the drive test results utilizing a mobile phone a probe installed in the idle mode. The scenario of inter-band handover is based on A2 and A5 events that have been set by the 3GPP. The research exerted the layering values for 1800 LTE and LTE 900 respectively are 5 and 3 and obtained a reference threshold values of A2 and A5 respectively are −110 dBm and −105 dBm.
