Abstract
In this study, magnetic theophylline and adenine were synthesized and characterized. The characteristic peaks of anion appeared in the ultraviolet spectra, infrared spectra, mass spectra and Raman spectrum, which indicated that the target magnetic molecules were successfully synthesized. At the same time, the contents of C, H and N in the magnetic theophylline were determined by elemental analysis and compared with the theoretical values in order to verify the structures identified by spectral data. The results also showed that the synthesized magnetic theophylline had high purity. Moreover, the magnetic properties of two kinds of magnetic molecules were measured by using vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) analysis, and the coercivity and other important data could be determined from the hysteresis loops. It was concluded that the two molecules were paramagnetic. Finally, micro-reaction system was initially developed in this study for synthesizing such kind of magnetic molecules.
