Assessing Adoption of New Communication Technologies for CoOperative Development in Kenya

Abstract

Co-operatives in Kenya have had low uptake of ICTs to streamline their communications and enhance their growth compared to other business ventures. This low use of new communication technologies, and business ideas involving Information Communication Technologies (ICTs) are being taken on by corporations and individual business people; a missed opportunity for the co-operative movement in Africa (Nyaga, 2014). In Africa, Kenya‟s cooperative business model is the best and 7 th best in the Globe. (ICA, 2014).
