Abstract

A remote control robot by which a bedridden person can obtain the feeling of going out is proposed. The robot is controlled by a radio wave controller, and equipped with a CCD camera, a microphone, and a speaker etc. The picture of a CCD camera is transmitted to a receiver of a TV set. A user can send the robot to the outside by watching the CRT display. Then, a user can watch the outside scene, and can talk to a person using a microphone and speaker. The operation of the remote control robot is very difficult. Therefore, an automatic avoidance control system of an obstacle is designed.
