Abstract
A channel allocation problem (CAP) can be divided into smaller problems and be solved without losing much performance using splitting algorithms. However, this requires that adequate partitioning be applied to the problem. Some of the considerations are discussed in this paper. Experimental results are presented for one-dimensional partitioning.
