The Design of SoC Platform Basaed on Digital Video Media Processing Technology

Abstract

For the differences of design capacity and production ability about System-on-Chip(SoC), we propose a new design on HDTV video decoder SoC platforms, which can integrate a variety of IP cores, such as the MIPS processor IP, video processor IP, HDTV video Decoder IP, USB2.0IP, memory IP, etc. Each IP core can be connected through its independent dedicated interface and SoC platform. We can manage the data path effectively by estimating the bandwidth about SDRAM and bus. New features can be added to the SoC architecture based on AMBA bus without changing the platform structure, which makes SOC platform design been widely used in the digital video media processing technology.
