Abstract
The contents of a advanced power electronic course have been developed for a power engineering curriculum that is evolving despite of having limited resources. These course contents can be segmented and inserted into junior, senior, and graduate level courses to benefit students. Some of the techniques involve hands-on teaching using project-based approach. Some of the project outputs will be presented in this paper. Even though the currently available resources do not allow administering new courses this approach will help students learn advanced topics practiced in power industries and taught in resource-rich academic institutes.
