This paper presents basic open configurations of optical links used in data transmission with selected time-varying signals. Abstract

Wireless optical fiber links are the basic means of data transmission between movable objects. Radio links dominate in remote transmission. By means of open optical fiber links, it is possible to transmit data over short distances between objects. Depending on the technology used, it is possible to connect transmitting-receiving systems distant from one another by approximately twenty cm to twenty meters.
