Acute Management of Crystal-Induced Arthropathies: an Overview

Abstract

Gout and pseudogout are the two major Crystal-induced Arthropathies. Patients with these conditions can experience symptoms such as asymmetric joint pain, swelling, and functional limitation. Acute presentation is due to intra-articular deposition of monosodium urate (Gout) or calcium pyrophosphate (Pseudogout).
