Abstract

Fluorescent dot counting in interphase cell nuclei has always been useful in many aspects of clinical research and biomedical use. An iterative method is purposed in this paper using the basis pursuit algorithm for the processing of the fluorescent images, together with the threshold scheme to result in compressed sensed images useful for dot counting. A simple dot counting algorithm is employed on the processed images and compared with a conventional method to show the advantages of the new technique.
