Inlet Air Filter Elements Site and Laboratory Tests of Four Different Manufacturers

Abstract

This Paper describes three-month onsite testing utilizing travelling laboratory furnished with four dedicated air ducts and required instrumentation needed to determine efficiency of filtration for submicron size particles. It also describes the subsequent testing of seasoned filters in offsite Laboratory furnished with instrumentation and equipment to conduct the dry and wet tests on previously Watson-field tested filters. The opportunity to simultaneously test four different IAFE, provided by four different Manufacturers, was unique and helpful in discerning the differences between these filters.
