THE THEORY OF COERCION IN THE RUSSIAN DOCTRINE

Abstract

This article discusses the main views of domestic scientists on the phenomenon of state coercion. All the variety of different points of view can be reduced to several concepts, each of which has some problems in formulating the general concept of coercion. We have analyzed approaches that (1) identify coercion and state power, (2) define the essence of coercion as a set of elements of legal influence and legal regulation, (3) share nihilistic views that deny coercion, (4) prioritize the philosophical interpretation of coercion, (5) based on psychological categories.
