Theme of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin in the Ukrainian homiletic tradition of the twentieth century

Abstract

The article analyzes the theological and liturgical aspects of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin in the homiletic heritage of V. Lypkivsky, Filaret (Denisenko), S. Mudry and others. It is noted that the Holy Father's and theological heritage includes teachings not only about the reality of the bodily death of the Mother of God, but also about the truth of her resurrection and ascension with the glorified body to the heavenly abodes.
