Abstract
The inertial response in the microgrid is gradually declining which results in a sacrificed sensitivity and stability of the microgrid. In near future, the concept of centralized bulk power generation will be vanished and will be substituted by small scale distributed renewable energy sources. The realization of the microgrid in that distributed environment will be questioned if the stability is not improved in a priority basis case. Therefore, to improve the stability of the microgrid an auxiliary damping loop (Aux-D) based scheme has been proposed in the study. The concept of the dynamic damping through the Aux-D loop has been realized by a simple fuzzy logic adopted approach. The improvement in the performance of the proposed Aux-D based technique in real-time is significant.
