Abstract
We propose a new azobenzene polymer waveguide for UV sensor applications. We analyzed the waveguide performance in terms of the optical loss, absorption spectrum, and UV-induced optical scattering. The developed UV-responsive waveguide can be applied to UV sensors (e.g., the polymer fiber Bragg grating sensor).
