It has been observed that nonlinear intensity-dependent effect can be used to determine the transmission and rejection of propagating pulses. The optical switching is achieved using Kerr nonlinear effect to shift the band gap in the Photonic crystal fiber. Abstract
This paper describes the results of the investigation of nonlinear propagation of short optical pulses in a photonic crystal fibers. It has been observed that nonlinear intensity-dependent effect can be used to determine the transmission and rejection of propagating pulses. The optical switching is achieved using Kerr nonlinear effect to shift the band gap in the Photonic crystal fiber.
