Abstract

The Russian electric power complex operates mini hydroelectric power plants with installed capacity up to 5 MW. The quantity and installed capacity of such power plants are not significant, but they, along with large power plants, perform the function of ensuring reliable power supply to consumers in regional power systems or in remote areas.
