A method of Chinese character shape representation and its application in the error correction for normative handwritten Chinese characters

Abstract

It is an important part of handwritten Chinese characters automatic error correction in the Chinese characters writing of e-Education. Written Chinese characters need to be compared with normative characters for error correction, so it's an important part of the normative Chinese character shape description. This paper proposes a Chinese character structure description method based on the orientation relation of Chinese characters and the adjacency diagram of the whole Chinese character. On this basis, the mechanism of error correction for handwritten Chinese characters is established, and the validity of this method is proved by a large number of samples.
