Abstract
Graphical user interface software developed at Auburn University is discussed. The power systems software ranges from the typical steady-state analysis algorithms for power flow and fault calculations to the dynamic analysis of rotating machines. In various forms, this software is utilized in the classroom, the laboratories, and as a supplement to out-of-class student work. A description of the power engineering curriculum at Auburn University is used to illustrate how the various personal computer applications are used.
