Distribution automation simulator

Abstract

A distribution automation (DA) physical simulator has been designed and developed in this paper. The developed simulator is useful to provide operators' training before sending him to manage the distribution system from the computer aided distribution control center in real life. Besides this, it can be effectively used for testing of various components of the power distribution automation system such as software elements at control center, remote terminal unit and data communication system.
